We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team of passionate employees. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily analysis of production schedule, labour costs, productivity, equipment status (PM’s) and capital spend for the department, recommend and implement plans for variance to budget.
  • Ensure employees complete work activities safely and without jeopardizing product quality, meeting HCC Maintenance standards and tracked on Maintenance Performance Scorecard.
  • Develop department personnel skills and abilities, completion of HCC Maintenance Standards and supervise implementation, tracking on department matrix, and Maintenance Performance Scorecard.
  • Organize and assign work activities by type and class, ensuring employee comprehension, track on Maintenance Performance Scorecard as well as daily productivity against standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance through periodic inspections of employee’s work progress and work performance, tracking on actual vs. estimated spend ratios.
  • Maintain and enforce Company policies and procedures, measuring through Employee Absenteeism levels and opinion surveys and observations.
  • Active participation on various taskforce teams and committees, developing policies and procedures and programs to enhance safety, quality, productivity to attain goals.
  • Lead, direct, and supervise daily multi skilled forces – (electricians, millwrights, apprentices and production maintenance)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum five years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of can seaming principles.
  • Electrical or Millwright ticket required.
  • Knowledge of Pressure Vessels Act and Electrical Code.
  • Ability to adapt quickly.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to motivate, encourage, and coach employees in order to meet our quality and productivity objectives.
